fairy theory (poem)

She believes

in fairies

don’t they?

spin a twinkling world

unexpected

inexplicably

miraculous.

Hearts beat

ideas

infinitesimal seed reaching for sun’s beam

cup of tea

you

bejeweled moments all

shimmering

poised

for pleasured gasp

unanchored

by dark weight of dullness.

A small child

loved by the world

understands

delight

peering into

pooled eyes sees

music’s mystery,

prismatic

shafts of self

gambol a fairy garden.

The moment

this moment

you

make it,

will you choose

magic?IMG_0176
