Disentangling

a snap

in the line

the old, familiar lure

weighted, plummeting

a fish, thrashes

I disentangling

cannot come with you this time

a crack

splits the air

between us

(a muffle)

as the light floods in

redemption, releasing

our ancient chains

breathe

This is stunning, Chloe. Releasing our ancient chains… the Rebirth xx

“a snap in the line” – this is the PERFECT way to describe what it’s like for me when a pattern that has been playing my nervous system like a broken record finally comes off the player. It’s the best aha moment – it’s own victory, really. Redemption, indeed.

Oh, I love that image of the broken record…and its snapping! As always, I am so grateful for the inspiration you share through your insight and experiences, Diahann. Speaking of that, I have been wondering how your book is going, and have been sending much positive juju your way.

Thank you for your constant support Chloe. I am prepping to enter the beta reader phase and do a proposal- both time consuming ventures but very exciting!
